Denver Broncos: Does C.J. Anderson release tip 2018 draft plans?
No. 40 overall
Both Georgia’s Sony Michel and LSU’s Derrius Guice will likely be gone by the time the Broncos pick in the second round with a number of teams in need of a running back. Nevertheless, there are a couple of backs who fit what the Broncos would like to do with their running game.

Traditionally, the Broncos were a zone blocking team that needed backs with one-cut ability. However, Musgrave runs more of a power running game and a back like Auburn’s Kerryon Johnson or Michel’s Georgia teammate, Nick Chubb, are ideal fits.
Johnson is 6-0, 212 pounds with enough speed and explosiveness to break big runs. But at his core, he runs with power. He comes from an offense that asked him catch the ball a little bit and he was a blocker in the passing game on third downs. The Broncos can get a guy who can come in right away and do everything as a three-down back.
Chubb is more of a traditional power back who excelled at hitting the gap between the tackles and powering through defenders. Chubb is a 5-11, 228-pound compact bowling ball who doesn’t bring much value in the passing game, but does have enough speed to take it the distance.
