2018 NFL Mock Draft: Two complete rounds including massive trades
Defensive line was a major issue for the Washington Redskins last season. Opposing teams were able to run at will against Washington, as they struggled to make impact plays up front. Jonathan Allen and Matt Ioannidis are strong starters at five-tech defensive end, but the Redskins severely lack depth up front and their nose tackle situation is completely up in the air.

In a perfect world, Washington would be able to solve their nose tackle position while also finding a player who can contribute as an interior rusher on passing downs. Washington defensive lineman Vita Vea is the perfect fit.
At 6-foot-4, 347 pounds, Vea is a massive man who can dominate in the middle of the line. His raw strength and power at the point of attack is incredible impressive. Vea is a one-man wreaking crew who can single handily shut down the inside rushing attack.
Vea’s ability as a big and nasty interior run stuffer is incredibly impressive. However, do not discount this guy’s ability to move. Vea is an incredibly athletic player for a man of his size. He gets a quick burst off of the snap which allows him to shoot the gaps and consistently make plays in the backfield. Vea is an absolute beast up front who shows the ability to excel as both a one-gap and two-gap defender.
Simply put, his combination of size, athleticism, power and quickness is incredibly impressive. His pass rush move set is limited, but Vea’s raw ability as an interior rusher is impressive. He is a legitimate three-down defensive lineman who could come in and make an immediate impact for the Washington Redskins.
