31. . QB. UCLA. Josh Rosen. 7. player

Now this would be a fantastic scenario for the New York Giants. After trading down from the second overall pick, the Giants sat back and watched three elite quarterback prospects go off of the board with the first three picks. However, after the Broncos passed at number five, quarterback Josh Rosen started to slip in this 2018 NFL mock draft.

Sensing an opportunity, the Giants traded up and snagged their quarterback of the future in Rosen. New York sent the Tampa Bay Buccaneers two third round picks (66th and 96th overall) to move from number 12 to number seven, putting them in position to add Rosen.

So, in the two trades combined, the Giants gave away a third round pick and added a first this year and a first next year, while still drafting a franchise quarterback who they may have taken at number two. Best case scenario.

Rosen is arguably the most pro-ready quarterback prospect in this class. He has a legitimate NFL arm and is accurate to all areas. Rosen is a relatively safe quarterback prospect who also has good upside at the next level. Some consider Rosen to be a difficult player to coach, but those concerns seem to be overblown. This guy is a talented quarterback who has a bright future at the next level.

He is among the best quarterback prospects in this draft class and landing him at number seven would be an absolute steal.
