As a whole, the Oakland Raiders have a nice mix of players who can put pressure on the quarterback. Led by the great Khalil Mack, the Raiders have some big time edge rosters on the roster. However, they desperately lack players who can rush the passer from the interior.

Justin Ellis is a rock-solid veteran defensive tackle who will play a major role for the Raiders next season. However, he is essentially a nose tackle or one-tech defensive tackle whose primary value is as a run defender. The Raiders could really use an interior penetrator who can make an impact at three technique.

Rasheem Green is an extremely interesting defensive line prospect who showed a ton of ability as an interior rusher in college. Last season at USC, Green piled up an impressive 10 sacks from the defensive tackle position. He is a quick and athletic one-gap penetrator who has a ton of natural upside at the next level.

Green played inside in college, but at 6-foot-5, 275 pounds, he is unlikely to be able to consistently play inside at the next level. Instead, Green may have to be a defensive end on early downs, which would limit his impact as a pass rusher. However, his combination of power and length would make Green an extremely interesting run defender on the outside.

At worst, Green should be able to kick inside on obvious passing downs at the next level. His speed and quickness will be a nightmare for offensive guards to deal with in the pass rush at the next level.
