San Francisco 49ers: Last-minute prediction of 2018 NFL Draft Big Board
Nos. 21-30
21. Ronald Jones – USC
22. Quenton Meeks – Stanford
23. Billy Price – Ohio State
24. Frank Ragnow – Arkansas
25. Isaiah Oliver – Colorado
26. Jaire Alexander – Louisville
27. Josh Sweat – Florida State
28. Mike Hughes – UCF
29. Dante Pettis – Washington
30. Tyrell Crosby – Oregon
A press corner who the 49ers have seen at their own local pro day and that of Stanford, Meeks is an obvious day-two fit who can develop behind Sherman at cornerback.
Billy Price and Frank Ragnow both offer guard-center positional flexibility, though the latter has the better athletic ability for the blocking scheme, which Ronald Jones would excel running behind with his burst and elusiveness. He also has the pass-catching efficiency Shanahan looks for in his running backs.
Isaiah Oliver has the length advantage over both Jaire Alexander and Mike Hughes, though the Louisville corner’s ability to play both outside and in the slot should appeal.
Josh Sweat has the tools and athletic ability to be a successful edge rusher in the league providing he can stay healthy.
