Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos have Case Keenum for the time being. However, they didn’t show much confidence him long term, signing him to just a two-year deal. Paxton Lynch hasn’t shown John Elway anything to make the GM believe he’ll be the future of the franchise.

Herbert fits the type of quarterback that could make Elway happy. His size and mobility could remind him of a young version of himself. While he doesn’t possess the same cannon for an arm, Herbert can sling the rock. There’s no lack of confidence in his ability to throw the ball. Additionally, he’ll be able to tuck and run when things get tough.

Oh yeah, and he already has a former teammate on the roster in rookie running back Royce Freeman.

Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been stockpiling talent for years. Finally, in the 2017 season, it showed. Their defense was impenetrable while their offense did just enough to get by. Blake Bortles proved to be a serviceable quarterback. He finished the season with over 3,600 passing yards, totaling 21 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. His three touchdowns to zero interceptions in the playoffs earned him a three-year extension.

However, that doesn’t mean the Jaguars are all-in on Bortles. In fact, they could look to select a quarterback in the 2019 NFL Draft. Who better than Herbert? He’s is the same type of athlete as Bortles, but with better arm talent and decision-making skills coming out. They could take Herbert and have him sit behind Bortles as they continue to add weapons on their offense.
