New York Giants

Coming into the 2018 NFL Draft, the Giants were a team that needed a quarterback. It was rumored that whoever the Browns didn’t select at No. 1 would be the Giants pick at No. 2. Of course, that didn’t happen. Instead, the Giants went all in on Eli Manning.

They have young offense that includes a dynamic duo at wideout with potential Hall of Fame talent Odell Beckham Jr. and running back Saquon Barkley, whom they selected No. 2 overall and a much improved offensive line. All they are missing a successor to Manning. Still, Herbert’s talents and readiness far exceeds 2018 fourth-round pick Kyle Lauletta, making the Oregon product a better prospect.

New Orleans Saints

Drew Brees is playing on borrowed time, though it’s hard to tell. Whether Sean Payton continues to coach the Saints after Brees retires or not, they need to think about their future. They can’t afford to let another year pass and not take a quarterback. They have a ready-made team that has the combination of youth and veterans. So why not set themselves up with a potential franchise guy?

Herbert is a quarterback who fits Payton’s style. His ability to move in and out of the pocket is something that’ll work well in the Saints offense. They already have their receiver-running back duo with Michael Thomas and 2017 rookie sensation Alvin Kamara. Adding Herbert would set them up for years to come.
