5. T.J. Watt racks up 15 sacks on the year

During his rookie season, we saw just how lethal of a weapon T.J. Watt could be off the edge. Although he’s still not a dynamic weapon in terms of rushing the passer, he will be by the time his sophomore season comes to an end.

Watt wins with impressive athleticism, bend and power off the edge. On top of the physical tools, he also brings keen instincts to the table, which were all the more eye-opening in 2017 considering his youth and inexperience at the NFL level.

What will also aid Watt’s run at 15 sacks is the amount of talent the Pittsburgh defensive front possesses. The average NFL fan seems to overlook the group, but it’s loaded with plus playmakers like Cameron Heyward, Stephon Tuitt and Bud Dupree. With blockers receiving pressure from all angles, Watt shouldn’t have to battle through too many double teams.

Watt may never be as dominant as his older brother, J.J., but he’s a sensational talent in his own right. We’ll get our first glimpse at his full potential in 2018, when he racks up 15 sacks and earns the first of many trips to the Pro Bowl.
