Fantasy Football Rankings: Raiders’ most tantalizing targets in 2018
4. WR Amari Cooper
Current ADP: 45.9
Amari Cooper has all the potential in the world to be a superstar at wide receiver. However, after three seasons in Oakland, he’s still sitting there trying to jam the wrong key into the lock.

In terms of physical tools, he’s got it all. Cooper has the size, speed and strength to dominate just about any NFL secondary.
Unfortunately, it’s the mental aspects of the game that seems to be eluding him up to this point. Just ask his five drops (tied for ninth in the NFL in 2017) and wildly inconsistent production from a year ago.
Unfortunately, I don’t think the arrival of Gruden or Nelson is going to help much. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if Nelson simply eclipsed him, even at 33 years of age.
Cooper’s inconsistency is what really gets me. Some games, he’ll look like a bona fide superstar. The next, he’ll struggle to get separation or make plays when the ball comes his way. The talent is there, but Carr simply hasn’t been able to rely on him as much as you’d expect for a former No. 4 overall pick.
Still, we can’t completely ignore Cooper. He’s one of the Raiders’ top two receivers and figures to have a heavy workload in 2018. Maybe we’ll see a breakout season of sorts for him but proceed with caution if you decide to draft him — especially in the early rounds.
