GREEN BAY, WI – OCTOBER 22: Nick Perry (Photo by Dylan Buell/Getty Images) /

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months, Green Bay holds two selections in the first-round in 2019. The Packers acquired the New Orleans Saints’ 2019 first-round pick after the Saints traded up to draft defensive end Marcus Davenport.

With the extra draft capital, Green Bay could unload either their own or New Orleans’ 2019 first-rounder by spending it on Mack. Combined with Nick Perry and a third-round pick, the Packers could have an intriguing offer on the table for Oakland to consider.

Perry is a former first-rounder himself, although he’s been a late bloomer in terms of on-field production. The Packers gave Perry a new five-year, $59 million contract after he recorded 11 sacks in 2016. He had a down-year in 2017, playing in only 12 games while dealing with hand, shoulder, ankle and foot injuries.

There’s no doubt Perry is a talented player, though, and a change of scenery could serve him well. Perry would definitely be a downgrade from Mack from the Raiders’ perspective, but combined with a first and third-round pick, this may be an offer Oakland would at least consider. If Perry performs at the level he’s capable of, his current contract would look like a steal.
