10. Jacob Green, DE (1980-91)
Green spent 12 years in Seattle. In those 12 years, he had 12 or more sacks five times and nine or more sacks seven times. All 97.5 of his sacks came during his time with the Seahawks and are a franchise record. To put his accomplishments in perspective, Hall of Famer Jason Taylor also had five seasons with 12 sacks or more. It’s hard to see how Green only made two Pro Bowls.

9. Richard Sherman, CB (2011-17)
Sherman was the voice of the Legion of Boom defense and was the best cornerback in the league for a couple of seasons. His tipped ball that was intended for Michael Crabtree and post-game interview are both etched into Seattle legend. Without Sherman to lock down half of the field, the Legion of Boom would arguably never have existed. It was Sherman’s arrival that brought the defense into full bloom.
8. Russell Wilson, QB (2012-Present)
Since surprisingly winning the starting job in his rookie season from Matt Flynn, Wilson has led the Seahawks to two Super Bowl appearances and a 65-30-1 record. The Wisconsin product hasn’t missed a single game in his six NFL seasons and has made four Pro Bowls. In 2017 he carried the team which suffered from a poor offensive line, lacked a running game, and had an injured defense. Wilson led the league in passing touchdowns with 34 and his name was in the MVP debate for most of the season.
7. Earl Thomas, FS (2010-Present)
Thomas served as the Legion of Boom’s X-factor and was quietly the best player on the defense, until recently. In eight seasons with the team, Thomas has 642 combined tackles, 25 interceptions, 11 forced fumbles, six Pro Bowl selections, and three First Team All-Pro selections.
While he was never an extremely vocal player on the team, until this summer, Thomas struck fear in the hearts of quarterbacks with his instinctive play.
