Arizona Cardinals: Cap Capi

The pressure was already high on the Arizona Cardinals heading into 2018 after missing out on the playoffs in each of the last two seasons, but with a new quarterback in Sam Bradford along with Steven Wilks taking over as head coach, this season could be quite interesting. At least with the team’s first preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers, the Cardinals have plenty to be excited about moving forward after coming up on the winning end 24-17.

While there were numerous reasons behind Arizona hanging on for the victory, Cap Capi recording three sacks on defense certainly played a big factor in the results. For a player that has bounced around on a few different teams since the Jacksonville Jaguars signed him as an undrafted free agent back in 2015, Capi hopes this second stint with the Cardinals ends up working out this time around.

Capi was part of Arizona’s practice squad back in 2016, but he never suited up for an actual game during the regular season for the Cardinals. Matching three sacks may be tough, but at least Capi has caught the attention of the coaching staff that should provide a little extra motivation for the remainder of the preseason, especially Week 2.
