The New York Jets face the Washington Redskins on Thursday, Aug. 16 in Week 2 of the 2018 NFL preseason. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The New York Jets and Washington Redskins are all set square-off on Thursday night, in a battle between two teams looking to improve from their respective 2017 records. Both storied franchises will be relying on new quarterbacks this upcoming season, which means the expectations in both training camps have been extremely high. Needless to say, the most important thing to come away with after a preseason game is health.

Unfortunately for the Redskins, Week One of the NFL Preseason proved to be costly, as their 2018 first-round draft pick, Derrius Guice, tore his ACL and will miss the entire season. It goes without saying, but that’s terrible news – I don’t care which team you root for.

Speaking of terrible knee injuries, Jets quarterback, Teddy Bridgewater, will be suiting up for his second preseason game after coming back from his catastrophic knee injury in 2016. The former Louisville football standout had one heck of a game last week against the Atlanta Falcons, finishing 7/8 for 85 passing yards and one touchdown.

If there’s one player I’m looking forward to seeing play against a tough Redskins defense this Thursday night, it’s Bridgewater.

It’ll be important for both team’s to show they’ve improved from their respective games last weekend. We know both squad’s starters will only play a few series on Thursday night, but that doesn’t mean we’ll be without some serious football action. Per usual, there will be a few players, from the Jets and Redskins, that’ll make their case for the 53-man roster.
