The Kansas City Chiefs face the Atlanta Falcons on Friday, Aug. 17 in Week 2 of the 2018 NFL preseason. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The Atlanta Falcons and Kansas City Chiefs are two teams coming off losses in their Week One match-ups of the 2018 NFL Preseason. While it always sucks to lose, even in the preseason, we have to remember these final scores will disappear in a few weeks. Plus, these are two teams who’ve been in the NFL Playoffs over the past few years. I know it’s hard to watch your team lose, but for both fanbases, there is zero cause for concern.

Per usual, it’ll be interesting to see how long both head coaches let their starters play in this match-up on Friday night. It’s always tough to watch a key player sustain an injury in these preseason games, but there is value in letting your players get as many reps as possible for the regular season.

Nevertheless, for the Falcons specifically, it would still be wise to sit Julio Jones and Devonta Freeman for this battle against the Chiefs. Both players rarely shy away from contact, which makes them great, but it’s not something Atlanta fans want to see in August.

As you may already know, this second preseason game for the Chiefs and Falcons comes one week before the annual “dress-rehearsal” in Week Three. With only a few weeks left until the 2018 NFL Regular Season, both Andy Reid and Dan Quinn will be readying their squads for another postseason-run. While a win would be nice, I can assure you both head coaches want to walk away with one thing Friday night — a short injury report.
