3. Ezekiel Elliott returns

It was evident for the six weeks the Dallas Cowboys didn’t have Ezekiel Elliott on the field that the offense and Dak Prescott just didn’t have the same feel as they did when he was on the field in 2017. Sure, some of the times when Elliott was on the field the Cowboys didn’t play up to their potential, but when he wasn’t playing — even though the Cowboys did have some success — the offense just didn’t run as smoothly as it should have.

Prescott didn’t have his best season in 2017, and not having his top teammate in Elliott next to him on the field proved to be a big part of Prescott’s game. It was evident the offense ran though the offensive line and Elliott, and there is really no debate about that.

Prescott will benefit greatly from having Elliott back on the field with him for hopefully the entire season, and what will be even better is they both can hopefully concentrate on just football and not have to worry about off-the-field issues like the Cowboys did a season ago.

The duo of Prescott and Elliott is one of the best in the NFL when both are on the same page and on the field together, so don’t expect anything less from the Cowboys duo in 2018 when they try to get the offense back on track and rolling like it is 2016 all over again.
