2. Learning from mistakes

Dak Prescott is a very talented and smart football player, so there is no doubt with this being the third season of what is hopefully a long NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys that he can learn from his mistakes and be a more consistent player in 2018.

At times last season, Prescott looked and played like the smartest player on the field, and there were at least a few times where he’d leave you wondering what was going on out on the field. That is okay though, because there is not one quarterback in the NFL that is perfect — no matter what Tom Brady fans believe — and mistakes are going to occur.

That said, the most important part of Prescott’s game in 2018 is for him to learn from those issues, and if he does just that, his numbers will jump back up and most likely there will be more than nine wins for the Cowboys this upcoming season.

There is not a doubt that Prescott will play better this season. Like stated earlier, his interception numbers could be in double digits, but taking some risks is part of being a successful NFL quarterback. Most likely, if the Cowboys want to unseat the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles and fend off the newly motivated New York Giants, then some risks will have to be taken.

Look forward to Prescott learning from his past mistakes on the field and even learn from some newer ones as well, but this season will most likely consist of learning. If that is the case, Prescott will ultimately become an even better quarterback than we’ve already seen at times in his career.
