2. Benjamin Watson

Tight ends are a hard position to draft as the big names such as Rob Gronkowski or Travis Kelce always go high. That leaves the rest of us with players who could be a boom or a bust. The same can be said about Benjamin Watson and his return to the New Orleans Saints.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Watson originally began his career in New England, then moved between the Browns, Saints and Ravens. While Watson had success with the Patriots, he is most well-known for his time with the Saints. He did play second fiddle to Jimmy Graham before Graham left in 2015 and Watson had a career year.

Watson couldn’t duplicate his success and resigned with the Saints in 2018. Even at age 37, he’s a good sleeper option. Early reports have confirmed Watson fitting seamlessly back into the offense and making his presence known once again. If anything, it should get fantasy owners excited.

With the Saints lacking a true threat at tight end, Watson is an excellent alternative if you don’t want to draft a tight end early. He might have as big of a role, but Watson has the chance to put up some big numbers.

Even if you don’t draft Watson, maybe wait it out a week or two until we know what he’s doing. Either way, Watson is definitely a sleeper with a huge upside. Of all their tight ends, he has the best chance for a productive year.
