The New York Giants face the New York Jets on Friday, Aug. 24 in Week 3 of the 2018 NFL preseason. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
It doesn’t matter whether this game is being played in the preseason or in the regular season, neither the Jets or Giants are willing to lose the “Battle for New York”. Not to mention, with most of both team’s starters set to play throughout the first-half on Friday night, we’re surely going to see one of the more entertaining games of the 2018 NFL Preseason.
Over the past two weeks, we’ve seen some great football from the Jets and Giants, but also some pretty bad football as well. Still, we have to remember these preseason games are going to be learning experiences for talented, but inexperienced players like Sam Darnold and Saquon Barkley. I think I speak for both fanbases when I say we’re all good with mistakes being made in August.
Either way, both of these New York franchises are counting on young players heading into the 2018 regular season. With only two games left before the real action begins, it’s time both squads clean up their play in preparation for potential bounce-back seasons.

Again, the final results of a preseason game don’t really matter, but I can promise you this one is important for the Jets and Giants. No, a loss or win won’t count towards either team’s regular season record, but it’ll surely give one team a strong sense of pride, emerging victorious in the “Battle for New York”.
