Offensive Preview

Offensively, the New Orleans Saints are one of the top-tier teams. Anchored by Drew Brees, they have one of the best and most experienced quarterbacks in the game. There are few other veterans including Ted Ginn Jr., Terron Armstead and Benjamin Watson.

Overall, the Saints offense is incredibly young but full of promise. Many look at big names such as Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara. Thomas is easily their most talented receiver and it wouldn’t be a surprise for him to notch a 1,000-yard season.

As for their running game, the team might struggle a bit. With Ingram suspended, the team has to rely on Alvin Kamara alone. Right now, there’s not a solid back-up for them to turn to so the first four games could be a struggle. Hopefully, Kamara is able to shoulder most of the carries himself.

The biggest and most dominant part of their offense is their line. The Saints line is one of the best in the league and has earned wide praise from multiple sports media outlets. With big men such as Armstead, Max Unger and Andrus Peat, the Saints will continue to reign supreme on offense.

It might seem like they could have a repeat of last year, but the team did make some changes. With the additions of Cameron Meredith and Tre’Quan Smith, the Saints could shift their focus on run-heavy to pass-heavy.

Regardless, the Saints offense is going to be dynamic. 2018 should prove to be another big year for them. Heading into the regular season, the expectations are high and the offense should deliver.
