5. Cameron Jordan finishes first in the NFL in sacks

One of the most underrated players on the Saints is Cameron Jordan. Whenever sports personalities, media outlets or anyone mentions defensive ends, Jordan is always out of the conversation. It’s frankly annoying and another reason why the Saints were so underhyped last season.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Last season, Jordan finished fourth in the NFL for sacks. He was surpassed only by Chandler Jones, Calais Campbell and DeMarcus Lawrence with Jordan finishing only 1.5 half QB traps behind Campbell and Lawrence. In 2018, I look for Jordan to ramp up production and end up finishing the season with the most sacks in the NFL.

At age 29, Jordan is in his prime and has a chance to completely dominate. Even with the addition of first-round pick, Marcus Davenport, Jordan still has the dominant presence edge. He’s easily the Saints best defensive player and has continued to be overshadowed for years. It’s finally time the rest of the NFL gives him the credit he deserves.

As for predicted sacks, I see Jordan finishing just a bit higher than last year with either 14.5 or 15.0 sacks. Honestly, Jordan has the talent and the team around him to make the jump. Considering how close he was last season, it’s only a matter of time.
