NFL Draft 2019: Each team’s biggest need entering season

Buffalo Bills – Defensive Tackle 

The Bills did a great job in the draft filling holes at quarterback and linebacker with Josh Allen and Tremaine Edmunds. What they weren’t able to find was a three-technique penetrator along the defensive line to help out their stagnant pass rush. The 2019 NFL Draft has plenty of talent along the defensive front. So, the Bills can and must address the position.

Carolina Panthers – Defensive End 

Like so many other teams, the Panthers can benefit from the illustrious class of defensive linemen. Julius Peppers is a machine, but he can’t play forever. The Panthers will need another guy opposite Mario Addison. A penetrating front will allow the Panthers return to defensive dominance that has led them to much success over the years.

Chicago Bears – Offensive Tackle 

The Bears have to continue putting pieces around their young quarterback, Mitch Trubisky. The most important thing for every team is the protection of their quarterback, though. The current state of the Bears offensive line isn’t horrible, but they haven’t found their franchise left tackle.

Cincinnati Bengals – Offensive Tackle 

The Bengals did a bit of a patch job this offseason along the offensive line. Cordy Glenn is a solid option when healthy, but that hasn’t been the case in two seasons. Bobby Hart isn’t the answer at right tackle either, so he could struggle. As such, the Bengals must improve their offensive tackle position in the 2019 draft.

Cleveland Browns – Cornerback 

The Browns have a lot of depth along the defensive line. Their linebacker corps is one of the league’s best-kept secrets. Jabrill Peppers and Damarious Randall makes for an interesting safety duo. The glaring hole is at cornerback, despite drafting Denzel Ward,
