2018 NFL Power Rankings: Mahomes impresses, Rodgers plays magician
By Randy Gurzi
32. Buffalo Bills (24)
Things got ugly, fast for the Buffalo Bills. This isn’t too shocking though because most had them as one of the worst teams in the NFL heading into Week 1. Head coach Sean McDermott somehow got them into the postseason last year — which he apparently did with a roster he wasn’t thrilled with.

Buffalo shipped off their starting quarterback — sending Tyrod Taylor to the Cleveland Browns. In his place, the team added rookie Josh Allen and veteran A.J. McCarron. They both lost out on the starting job to Nathan Peterman, and after one week the Bills may want to rethink things.
Just like last season when McDermott tried to bench Taylor in favor of Peterman, the offense was non-existent with him out there in Week 1. He didn’t have a five-pick first half like he did in his start last season, but Peterman was inaccurate as the Bills were destroyed by the Ravens. He did happen to manage just 25 yards in the first half though as this one was over by then with Baltimore up 26-0 going into the break.
It could end up being a very long season for Buffalo and they’re probably better off going with the rookie under center to see if maybe he can catch fire. Allen did end up coming in late in this blowout, and he may stay there.
