Start

Patrick Mahomes at Pittsburgh – We held many reservations for Mahomes in Week 1, not knowing what Andy Reid would be able to cook up for the second-year quarterback. In his first start, we saw the potential of Mahomes: Scary. Everything from his mobility to deep ball warrants attention and respect, and visiting a not-so-hot Steelers team with cornerback Joe Haden possibly out gives Mahomes the green light in all fantasy leagues.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Philip Rivers at Buffalo – Philip Rivers fantasy owners saw their frustrations tested early, as Rivers had potential touchdowns and big plays taken away due to drops from his receiving corps. Rivers and the Chargers now visit a Bills defense that might still not be in one piece after being beat like a drum by the Ravens. If Joe Flacco and friends can hang 47 points on this team, Rivers should have a fantasy field day. Watch Rivers get himself back in the win column while he returns the favor for your fantasy team.

Sit

Tom Brady at Jacksonville – Oh man, this is bolder than the font in Brady’s name. Conventional wisdom tells us to never doubt Brady and the Patriots, and thus leave him in regardless. While that’s plausible, New England will travel to Jacksonville with a depleted offense to face the league’s best defense that’s had revenge on their mind since the AFC Championship. Three touchdowns against the Texans defense was nice considering his supporting cast, yet the Jaguars hoist a whole different animal across from Brady.

If you can afford to, bench Brady for a safer option.

Tyrod Taylor at New Orleans – Considering the state of the Saints defense, this might just be bolder than the suggested play above. Simply put, I don’t trust Taylor to beat anybody with his arm, and he won’t have sloppy weather conditions to assist him when using his legs outside the pocket.

New Orleans’ defense still remains a talented bunch despite last week’s disaster of an outing. Touting a better secondary than the Steelers, the Saints have more favorable match-ups against the Browns and should be able to generate turnovers. Taylor is good but not great, and a repeat of Week 1 simply wont happen with Cleveland in town.
