5. Keenum will earn his new contract with four total touchdowns

Case Keenum had an exciting start in his new home in Week 1. The veteran quarterback finished the day with 329 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions. That’s an intriguing stat line for any signal-caller, one that was quite the rollercoaster ride.

After leading the way to a 13-3 season with the Minnesota Vikings last year, in addition to a NFC Championship Game appearance, the Broncos hope they found a reliable answer at quarterback. Keenum’s seven interceptions in 2017 prove that he is able to protect the football. Keenum knows how to win games. It felt like Seattle’s defense disrupted his rhythm, last week. Having said that, he will take advantage of a floundering Raiders defense.

Keenum will clean up his act this week and bring the thunder. The Raiders are missing defensive weapons. This leaves them exploitable for a player like Keenum. He is surprisingly mobile in the pocket and will extend plays if given the opportunity. He shook the rust off last week. Week 2 will prove that John Elway signed the right man to lead the Broncos offense.

The Broncos have been searching for a reliable quarterback since the Peyton Manning era. Week 2 will allow Keenum the opportunity to build confidence with his new squad. He will throw three touchdowns and rush for another against the Raiders’ weak defensive unit, while having a turnover free game.
