White Tiger comes out to play

Much has been made about the Martavis Bryant debacle. The Raiders trade a 3rd round pick for him. Cut him. Then resigned him a week later. The only positive for the Raiders in this situation is that they do not have to guarantee Bryant’s his entire contract because he was not on the roster for week 1.

But Bryant is needed in this offense. For as good as the other receivers are, they need a burner to take the top off the defense. Taking the top off the defense will allow others to play their games underneath. Bryant’s presence and speed should open up new possibilities in the passing game.

Amari Cooper gets involved

The Raiders need to get Amari Cooper more involved in the game. The addition of Bryant will help open space for him in the middle. But Cooper needs to be targeted.

Carr looked like a quarterback scared out of his mind in the second half last week.  He needs a receiver he can rely on to get open. Not a check down option. He needs a receiver who he can trust to be open down the field to move the offense. Carr needs to be looking for Cooper. Cooper needs to step up his game to help out.
