3. Marcus Davenport

Two rookies could end up facing off on the line in this game at the line of scrimmage. New Orleans moved up in the first round to select defensive end Marcus Davenport. He didn’t start in Week 1 but logged 23 snaps. He should see more in this contest, and if so he will find himself in a favorable matchup.

Cleveland started undrafted rookie Desmond Harrison at left tackle in Week 1. It was odd, considering he had no snaps with the unit he started the season with during the preseason, but then again Hue Jackson calls the shots for the Browns and you don’t earn a 1-31-1 record without taking chances.

With Cameron Jordon starting at the left end spot and facing Chris Hubbard, the Browns will be forced into sending help that way. This gives the rookies a chance to go one on one. For Davenport, he should be able to own this battle.

Harrison has a lot of talent, but consistency isn’t his friend. He also played against a lower level of talent at West Georgia — both issues that kept him undrafted. After his struggles in Week 1, Harrison will have to dig deep to play better. A player with Davenport’s ability to rush the passer can make that a big challenge for him.
