2. They have the receivers

One of the knocks on the Jets this offseason was their lack of a No. 1 wide receiver. With Jermaine Kearse, Robby Anderson, Quincy Enunwa, and Terrelle Pryor, they had a lot of bodies but not really that legitimate go-to guy. So far, they’ve proven that they’re going to be just fine.

More from New York Jets

The Jets were able to move the ball with ease through the air. Their leading receiver was Enunwa who had seven receptions for 92 yards. Next was Pryor with 74 yards off just four catches. Even running back Bilal Powell got in on the fun as he caught five passes for 74 yards and a touchdown.

In the end, they went for 334 yards passing and Sam Darnold spread it out to eight different receivers. He didn’t have the same yardage in Week 1, but he did show the same ability to spread the ball around to their many weapons. In that one, he completed it to seven different guys.

What it tells you is the Jets are fine with their collection of wideouts, tight ends, and receiving backs. They may not have that big receiver who will catch 100 passes, but they have enough to keep moving the ball through the air.
