New York Jets (1-1) at Cleveland Browns (0-1-1)

Thursday, September 20, 8:20 PM ET

Heading into Week 2, this had the makings of a quality Thursday Night Football matchup. The New York Jets were coming off a throttling of the Detroit Lions, while the Cleveland Browns broke their streak of 32-straight losses.

After Week 2, though, it could be a different story. Unfortunately, it appears as though we’re headed for another lackluster TNF showing from two teams still trying to convince the rest of the NFL they’re headed in the right direction. So who gets the edge in this one?

Surprisingly, I’m going with the Browns. I haven’t picked Cleveland to win a game in over a year, which is saying something. I mean, they’re bound to win one eventually, right? They’ve come close in both of their games this season, almost knocking off two quality teams in the process. Against a rookie quarterback, can they finally put an illusive notch in the win column?

The Browns have done a terrific job of making life difficult for opposing passers this season, creating numerous turnovers along the way. Look for them to take advantage of the naive and new Sam Darnold, capitalizing on his mistakes and securing the win.

Prediction: Browns win 21-18
