New Orleans Saints (1-1) at Atlanta Falcons (1-1)

Sunday, September 23, 1 PM ET

Man, I’ve been disappointed by the New Orleans Saints so far this season. After coming into the season as one of the Super Bowl favorites, they’ve limped their way to a 1-1 start after narrowly avoiding defeat at the hands of the Browns in Week 2.

Unfortunately for them, a Week 3 showdown with the Atlanta Falcons shouldn’t do them any favors. After sputtering out of the gates in Week 1, Matt Ryan and Co. got back on track against the Carolina Panthers this past Sunday. The offense showed out, and the defense did just enough to keep Cam Newton in check.

With the way the New Orleans offense has looked this season, the Falcons should feel confident coming into this one. That is, assuming they can keep the ball out of Michael Thomas’ hands. Even if they can’t, Ryan, Julio Jones and the rest of the Atlanta offense should offer enough firepower to outscore their NFC South rivals.

This could be an early turning point for either of these teams. With the home-field crowd at their backs, the Falcons appear to have the edge in Week 2.

Prediction: Falcons win 28-24
