5. Mike Tomlin

The chances of the Pittsburgh Steelers ever moving on from Mike Tomlin in the middle of a regular season may sound ridiculous to even consider, but also keep in mind there are some who believe he’s overrated as a head coach. And when looking at some of the early struggles surrounding this team, Tomlin deserves to be on this list along with everyone else at the moment following the team’s 0-1-1 start.

While the case can be made that Pittsburgh deserves some credit for that tough Week 1 loss to the Cleveland Browns since the weather conditions were horrible, there was no excuse for the team to lose in their home opener to the Kansas City Chiefs. Ben Roethlisberger should never be forced to throw the football 60 times in a single game, and allowing Patrick Mahomes II to toss six touchdown passes on his end shows how much work the Steelers’ defense truly needs.

A few weeks ago, a Week 3 matchup against a team like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers playing with Ryan Fitzpatrick seemed like a favorable win on Pittsburgh’s win. But with Fitzpatrick helping the Buccaneers jump out to an impressive 2-0 start, this puts even more pressure on Tomlin and the Steelers heading into Monday night.
