Mitch Trubisky looks better in handling the offense

So far this season, Mitch Trubisky has been up and down. Early on in games, he shines. The Bears offense scored 24 points in the first half of games this season. As the game progresses, though, things change. Until they scored that touchdown early in the fourth quarter in Week 2, they had just two field goals in the second half. The offense bogs down and Trubisky has trouble throwing deep.

Trubisky needs to complete some intermediate or deep balls. If not, the defense will move up and clog everything up. I think against this defense he will make better connections. The Cardinals’ secondary is really struggling and I think that continues. Along with Howard and Burton, Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel, and Anthony Miller will make some kind of impact. I think even Kevin White makes a few catches as well.

Look for the Bears offense to go with passes underneath to begin the game. As Trubisky completes those passes, Nagy calls deeper passes. There will be some big plays completed and the offense will look like we expected it to be.

The Cardinals have given up 58 points this season. If the Bears can score a few touchdowns early they can cruise and work out the kinks they’ve had on offense. Arizona’s offense ranks last in scoring, and with the Bears defense playing as well as it has, I don’t think they’ll present much of a challenge.

Prediction: 25-of-38, 367 yards, 3 touchdowns; 4 carries, 42 yards
