The Miami Dolphins currently sit atop the AFC East at 2-0. However, there is still plenty of room for improvement if they want to seriously contend.

The Miami Dolphins and their fans should be thrilled where they are at. Very few predicted the team would be undefeated after Week 2. While this is great for the time being, there are still improvements to be made and complacency will result is disaster.

They have done everything they need to at this point, but are not yet legitimate contenders for anything more than a Wild Card spot and a first-round ejection in the playoffs. That doesn’t mean they can’t get to that point, however.

In the first two weeks of the 2018 season, they have beaten the Tennessee Titans and New York Jets to get to their unbeaten clip. The Titans are no pushover and showed that when they beat the Houston Texans in Week 2, even with Blaine Gabbert getting the start for an injured Marcus Mariota.

The Jets on the other hand appear to be pretty terrible, so knocking them off should be more expected than coming as a surprise. Miami won both games somewhat handily, but also showed opportunity to be even better on film.

For those of you who hate the negative, you can always read about what the team is doing right. Nonetheless, here it’s time to throw a wet towel on the undefeated Phins. These are the three things the team is still doing wrong despite winning both of their 2018 matchups. And those are the areas in which they must improve if they want to be a legitimate AFC contender.
