Josh Jackson, Cornerback

This is your reminder that Josh Jackson dropped to 45th overall in the 2018 NFL Draft. He was one of the best cornerbacks in this year’s draft, and the Green Bay Packers were able to select him in the second round.

Through two weeks of the NFL regular season, Jackson has already made an impact despite not playing many snaps on defense. His special teams presence was felt last Sunday against the Vikings. However, with injuries to Kevin King and Davon House, Jackson will see more playing time this week against the Redskins.

Playing a rookie in a big role on defense hasn’t ended well for the Packers before. But Jackson and Jaire Alexander have been two of the best rookie’s so far this season. This is one of those times when you play who is better versus who has more experience.

House was burned on a Stefon Diggs touchdown late in the game last Sunday. I’m not saying Jackson would have given that touchdown up, but he wouldn’t have been beaten so easily.

Against a mediocre Redskins receiving corps, Jackson should have a successful Sunday, and prove to everyone why he should have been selected before the 45th overall pick in the draft.
