Geronimo Allison, Wide Receiver

Geronimo Allison has quietly been one of the most impactful players on the Green Bay Packers roster through the first two games. Many expected Allison to take a leap after the Packers released Jordy Nelson. So far, he has made that leap as a bonafide No. 3 receiver in the Packers offense. He’s been a reliable target for Aaron Rodgers and will hopefully continue that trend into week three.

Washington’s secondary is not good at all. Despite leading the NFL in passing yards allowed per game, they have faced mediocre wide receiving corps in the first two weeks of the season. The Cardinals and Colts don’t come close to the amount of talent the Packers have on offense. Rodgers should be able to light up this Redskins defense all game long Allison will be one of the beneficiaries. He has the most favorable matchup of any wide receiver on the roster this week.

All that makes Allison a key player to watch in week three. His rare combination of size and speed will be too much for the Redskins defense. Even if he doesn’t break out and have a good game, the Packers have many other options to go to.
