Miami Dolphins (3-0) at New England Patriots (1-2)

Sunday, September 30, 1pm ET

Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined picking the Miami Dolphins to win this game a few weeks ago. Well, as it so happens, I’m still not doing that despite their undefeated record and the Patriots’ recent woes.

Yes, things haven’t gone as planned for Bill Belichick and Co. to start the season. The Week 1 win was nice, but it’s been rough sailing since then. The real low point came on Sunday night, when the Patriots were embarrassed by a subpar Lions team. That was a real shocker.

Now, the Patriots will simply be trying to right the ship. They had contender written all over them coming into the season, and still have at least some semblance of it remaining, as smudged as it may be. With Tom Brady behind the steering wheel, nothing is impossible for New England. That is, if they can keep up with The Dolphins’ sneaky-good offense.

Ryan Tannehill will do everything in his power to keep Miami in this one. When the final whistle blows, though, the Patriots will hold the advantage, knocking their AFC East rivals from the ranks of the undefeated.

Prediction: Patriots win 27-23
