3. Tight ends combine for 20 receptions, 230 yards and 2 scores

The Philadelphia Eagles have been dealing with some injuries to their receivers. They lost Wallace for the year and No. 1 wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is recovering from offseason shoulder surgery. With these two big injuries, even if Jeffery finally returns to the lineup this week, the Eagles will rely on their tight ends.

Running back Darren Sproles has already been ruled out for the game on Sunday, which means one of Wentz’s security blankets is already missing. Look for the Eagles to run a lot of two and three tight end sets to try and help out Wentz and the offense. The Eagles are a dangerous team in 12 personnel (one running back, two tight ends) because of Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert.

Ertz is a known comedity, as he is arguably one of the best tight ends in football, but Goedert is playing in just his fourth game of his career. However, in Week 3, Goedert flashed the potential he has by scoring a 19 yard touchdown from Wentz.

Third tight end Joshua Perkins, who many did not think would even play this season, has also been in the rotation and has five catches for 67 yards, with a long of 30 yards. All three of these guys will have an impact on Sunday, and that impact will be huge. Look for them to all combine for 18 catches, 210 yards, and two scores.

Zach Ertz: 10 receptions, 110 yards, 1 touchdown | Dallas Goedert: 7 receptions, 90 yards, 1 touchdown | Joshua Perkins: 3 receptions, 30 yards, 0 touchdowns
