Aaron Jones needs to be RB1

Having to play three different running backs is hard. When all three are starting quality, it makes it even tougher. You have three guys who all deserve snaps but only so many to give out. However, after the performances from Aaron Jones last week and against the Bills, he needs to lead the backfield. Every time he touches the football, you get a chance for a big play with Jones.

He is one of the most explosive running backs in the league.

He can beat you by running the ball or by catching the passes. That makes him a lot more dangerous because of his versatility. Jones led all Packers rushers with 65 yards on 11 carries and a touchdown. He also had a reception for 17 yards.

This is not a knock on Ty Montgomery and Jamaal Williams. They are both amazing players and deserve their chances. In fact, both made some big plays too. But I think that Jones needs the ball as much as possible, he is going to make plays when given the chance.

Pairing a consistent game with Aaron Rodgers will be deadly. He’s rarely had a run game to rely on during his time in the NFL. With his knee not at 100 percent, having a run game to take the pressure off Rodgers (literally and figuratively) will pay dividends.

It’s time to feed Aaron Jones the ball.
