NFL Power Rankings, Week 6: Rams, Vikings escape with wins

30. New York Giants (28)
Odell Beckham Jr. was upset about his team not taking enough shots down the field this week, so he did something about it. The star receiver ended up throwing a 57-yard touchdown pass of his own, connecting with rookie running back Saquon Barkley as the New York Giants offense finally came to life.

Quarterback Eli Manning took a hint from the deep pass OBJ threw as he was finally pushing the ball downfield. He ended the game with 326 yards passing and two touchdowns — but had two interceptions as well.
Even with the turnovers, the Giants had a shot to win it at the end. They just didn’t put up enough points as the Panthers won on a 63-yard field goal as time expired.
It’s a tough way to lose, but there wasn’t much else they could have done. Most times you leave a team to attempt that kind of kick for a win, you walk away happy — it just wasn’t their day.
To look for positives, Beckham, Jr. had a bug game with 131 yards off eight receptions. It was his third game with more than 100-yards receiving but was his first touchdown reception of the year. Even so, at 1-4, this season looks like it’s going to be as rough as last year.
