The Los Angeles Rams are the last remaining undefeated team in the NFL. Will they lose a game this season? A loss feels imminent, but Los Angeles is still better than all of its competition.

The Kansas City Chiefs finally went down in NFL Week 6, coming up just short in a massive second-half comeback on the road against the New England Patriots. All in all, it was an impressive loss, if you can have such a thing. And Kansas City still sits with the best record in the AFC.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Rams squeaked out another victory, topping Denver by three and pushing their record to 6-0. They were expected to be one of the four best teams in the league to start the season. Through six weeks, the Rams are the best team and have the best point differential to boot.

But three consecutive one-score victories begs the question: when will they lose their first game? Rebecca Mills dove into which team(s) can snap the Rams’ undefeated streak. Now we debate who will do it first, and if Los Angeles will lose at all this season?

Two brothers from New York, Dan Salem and Todd Salem, debate the Los Angeles Rams in today’s NFL Sports Debate.

Todd Salem:

A pretty tough batch of games is coming before the Los Angeles Rams’ Week 12 bye. After a game against San Francisco, the Rams are set to face Green Bay, New Orleans on the road, Seattle, and then Kansas City at a neutral site. Assuming they get past the 49ers, any of those next four could trip the Rams up, and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise.

I don’t think the Packers have it this year. A messy core around Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been enough. Week 9 at the Saints would seem to line up, but New Orleans will be coming off of two straight tough road games. Is it just me, or would the Seattle Seahawks topping Los Angeles be the logical storyline?

For years, Seattle was the toast of the NFC and the West specifically. Even through those heights, the lowly Rams gave them trouble. The two teams split the season series each of the past two years. Before that, the Rams won both games in 2015 and split in 2014. Not since Seattle’s Super Bowl title year has it won the season series against then-St. Louis.

The Seahawks have come on some hard times, though they still compete week to week. In their place as the dominant force in the division is Los Angeles. As the franchises are used to playing lots of close and tough games, it would be sweet revenge to see Seattle now ruin LA’s perfect record.

The first matchup was the Rams’ first really close game: Week 5’s two-point contest. Five weeks later, Seattle returns the favor in terms of this season, as well as the past half dozen years of this rivalry.

Dan Salem:

Will the Los Angeles Rams go undefeated? This is such a loaded question, but infinitely interesting as they are now the last unbeaten team in the NFL. While its true that Seattle always plays the Rams close and divisional games are notoriously tough for teams, I do not believe Los Angeles loses to the Seahawks this season. That being said, the Rams’ first loss will come a week earlier.

A loss to San Francisco would be shocking, but a defeat at the hands of the Packers would not. Yet the Rams get Green Bay at home, meaning another victory and eight straight wins to start the season. On the road against the New Orleans Saints is when Los Angeles finally stumbles.

The Saints have a high powered offense and an improving defense. Teams can win only so many shootouts and the Rams have already won two thus far. Los Angeles loses to New Orleans in a shootout, in what might end up being a playoff preview.

Let’s expand this question, because Los Angeles certainly looks like the team most likely to end with the best record in the NFL. Kansas City isn’t playing enough defense, but the Rams are. Plus, their division is weaker. Who else might actually defeat Los Angeles? I already called the second Seattle game in their favor, leaving only three teams in position for a shot at victory.

The Chiefs, Bears, and Eagles all have the weapons to get it done. That being said, I believe the Los Angeles Rams finish with only two losses this season.

A shootout with Kansas City is anyone’s game, but Los Angeles holds the edge over both Chicago and Philadelphia. Each team has the tools to pull off a win and the Bears will be playing at home, giving them an edge. I’m just not convinced any team lacking a truly high scoring offense, like Kansas City and New Orleans, can stop the Rams. Anything can happen and the playoffs are unpredictable, but right now its a two team race in each conference. Los Angeles is running away with it.
