2. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Safety, Green Bay Packers

All offseason and up until the point he broke his leg and went to IR, the Cowboys were linked to disgruntled Seattle safety Earl Thomas. The rumor was they even offered as much as a second round pick to the Seahawks in exchange for his services.

Dallas may have dodged a bullet with Seattle saying no as they would have also added a huge contract in addition to the hefty trade price for a safety who will be 30 next year. Even though Thomas likely wasn’t the answer, the Boys could use an upgrade at the position.

That’s where Ha Ha Clinton-Dix of the Green Bay Packers comes in. Currently, he feels like he has one foot out the door as he approaches free agency in 2019. He said as much when speaking with the Wisconsin State Journal.

"“Right now, I’m playing each and every game like it’s my last. I don’t think I’m going to be here next year,” Clinton-Dix said via Jason Wilde of the Wisconsin State Journal"

Maybe Dallas could find a way to lure the safety to their team now — which would also give Green Bay something in exchange for a player who believes he will be gone soon.

The former first-round pick out of Alabama already has three picks this season, which is more than Dallas has as a team. He’s recorded 14 in his career and is an underrated ball hawk. On top of that, he turns 26 in December, which means he’s just hitting his prime, unlike Thomas.
