3. Corey Clement has a big game

With the injury to Ajayi, many feel that the Eagles should go out and make a trade. Some people want them to go get all time Eagles rushing leader LeSean McCoy back, who was jettisoned by Chip Kelly in a horrendous trade for the Eagles. And some people want the Eagles to go get Le’Veon Bell from the Steelers, no matter the price.

Both trades and players make a ton of sense, but not if the Eagles can have one running back step up and carry the load. That player is Corey Clement, who is going to have a big game on Sunday against the Panthers. Look for the former undrafted player to have over 18 carries for 100 yards and a score while also adding four catches for another 60 and a score.

Clement showed in the Super Bowl that he has talent to succeed in the NFL, the Eagles just need to trust him and let him run wild against the Panthers, and they will. After he has a 160 yards and two score game, there will be no reason for the Eagles to trade for a running back and they can focus on improving the roster elsewhere.
