Best Game: Packers vs. Bears, Week 1

After a whole day of waiting for football, we finally got to see the Green Bay Packers in action for the first time since New Year’s Eve last season when Sunday Night Football rolled around on Week 1. The season was basically lost when Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone and missed the majority of the year.

Everyone was excited to see the new and improved Packers, the defense especially. After the Chicago Bears drove right down the field on their first drive, it looked like the same old Packers once again.

The Packers looked horrible during the first half while the Bears looked like world beaters. Then, the worst possible thing happened. Rodgers went down with an injury. In a span of seconds, Lambeau Field went silent and every Packers fan around the world held their breath.

Then, miraculously, in the second half, Rodgers was back. He jogged out onto the field after many thought his season could have been over after a quarter and a half of football. It took a huge comeback, the greatest of Rodgers’ career, to kick off the 100th season of Packers football.

Between the Rodgers injury, the great play by the revamped defense in the second half, and the amazing 20-point comeback, this game is not only the best so far this season, but it could quite possibly be one of the best in Green Bay Packers history.
