MVP: Aaron Rodgers, Quarterback

Is there really any other option? He has carried this team for so long now. Despite having multiple seasons with bad defenses, Aaron Rodgers has led this team to countless playoff appearances. 2018 has been another example of that. If the week one comeback wasn’t an example of him carrying the team, I don’t know what is. He has gutted out an undisclosed knee injury just to keep the Packers in contention. The injury has obviously caused him discomfort.

He’s proven how great of a leader he truly is.

Despite the fact that he has been playing on basically one leg, Rodgers is on pace for a career high in passing yards (approximately 5,300) with an astronomical TD-INT ratio (10.7-1.) He has been one the consistent bright spot on this Packers team for the first half of the season. Rodgers will continue to be the Packers MVP until the day he retires. He has been the franchise for so long.

It will be interesting to see how he handles the upcoming schedule. It’s one of the toughest stretches for the Packers in quite some time. While he doesn’t need to prove to anyone that he is the Packers MVP, if he dominates during this tough stretch, he could be in the running for his third NFL MVP.
