2. MLB Jordan Hicks

Philadelphia defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz could not have been pleased that his team allowed 335 total yards to a Jacksonville Jaguars’ offensive that has struggled for the vast majority of the season. But he and head coach Doug Pederson had to be happy with the fact that the Birds’ defensive unit allowed only one touchdown in the 24-18 victory.

A year ago, Eagles’ middle linebacker Jordan Hicks wasn’t around for the team’s stretch run and three-game playoff venture. But he’s made his presence felt in 2018 and entered Sunday’s clash at London with a team-best 58 tackles, to go with 1.5 sacks, one fumble recovery and four passes defensed. And Hicks didn’t do anything to show he isn’t back to his stellar form.

He finished the afternoon with a game-high 12 stops, including eight solo tackles. He also had 1.3 of the team’s four sacks of Jaguars’ quarterback Blake Bortles.

Even more impressive was the fact that the Eagles limited the Jaguars’ running game to just 70 yards on only 17 carries. And more than half of that (43) came on eight runs by Bortles as Hicks, Fletcher Cox and Schwartz’s unit clamped down on the Jaguars’ offense in a big way.
