Atlanta Falcons: Add more depth

The Atlanta Falcons have had a disastrous 2018 season so far. Even with a laundry list of injuries working against them though, the Dirty Birds down south have underachieved and found little success. Atlanta currently sits at 3-4, and will likely have a bumpy ride the rest of the season.

While they’re at it, the Falcons need to find some depths pieces to try out for the rest of the season. They could be in play for Cardinals safety Budda Baker, but it’s unlikely that they would make such a splash move unless they really saw something in him. The Atlanta Falcons know they have a great team, and possibly a Super Bowl contending team. They just can’t stave off the injury bug.

If the Falcons really want to make a splash at the deadline, they could add a big time name on offense. Devonta Freeman is on the injured reserve list, and while Tevin Coleman is serviceable, he’s not Atlanta’s true starting running back. If the Falcons added a nice piece at running back, they could really beef up their already explosive offense.

But it all comes down to the question: will the Falcons actually make a move? Probably not, truth be told. Incumbent Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff hasn’t made a move on deadline day since he took over in 2008. That streak will likely continue this year, as its hard to see the Falcons making a big move that’s actually logical. The Falcons are fine, they’re just unhealthy.
