3. Ezekiel Elliott

Following a disappointing game on Monday Night Football for Ezekiel Elliott and the offense of the Dallas Cowboys, the third-year running back got back on track and then some as he looked like a track and field athlete more than a running back at times.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Elliott’s hurdles background came in handy on Sunday night as he not only hurdled completely over an Eagles defender, but he did so while gaining big chunks of yardage in leading the Cowboys to victory.

The Cowboys superstar running back Elliott finished with 19 carries for 151 yards rushing with one touchdown, averaging 7.9 yards per carry. Elliott also had six receptions for 36 yards and one touchdown as he was targeted seven times in the win.

This was the type of game many have waited to see for the past few weeks from Elliott. It wasn’t the fact he gained over 150 yards, but how he sparked the offense and led the offense to victory. The better Elliott runs the football, the better the rest of the offense can play, especially at wide receiver and quarterback.

More games like this from Elliott, and maybe the Cowboys can get their season turned around. They’ve yet to win back-to-back games this season, but if Elliott takes over the game next Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons like he did against the Eagles, the Cowboys can get back to the .500 mark on the season.
