The Seahawks have gotten over Marshawn Lynch

Within the final five minutes of the game, the Seahawks got the ball back on their own 20-yard with a three-point lead. The team then bled the clock down as they went with the ground game and chewed up the Packers defense. Then, after the Packers used up all of their timeouts and the two minute warning had passed, Wilson just took a few knees to end the game. The running game sealed the deal for the Seahawks.

Seattle is the only team in NFL with four players over 200 rushing yards. Three of those players are the team’s top running backs, all of whom contributed to the win on Thursday. Carson serves as the workhorse, Mike Davis is an underrated third down back, and Rashaad Penny is beginning to show why he was a first-round pick in the NFL Draft.

There might be backfields with more talented runners, but I can’t think of a team off the top of my head with the level of depth at the running back position that the Seahawks have.

Coming into Thursday night the Seahawks were leading the NFL in rushing yards per game with 154.3. Seattle then proceeded to rack up 173 yards on the ground, all while averaging just under five yards per carry. The last time the Seahawks led the league in rushing was 2014 when Lynch was a Second Team All-Pro and made his last Pro Bowl appearance. Now, it seems like the Seahawks have finally moved on from Lynch thanks to a trio of promising rushers.
