2. Golden Tate finds the end zone

Philadelphia made a splash at the trade deadline when they sent a third-round pick to the Detroit Lions in exchange for wide receiver Golden Tate. The move was expected to open up the offense for the team that was in the mix for the NFC East and wanted to strengthen their shot at another Super Bowl run.

After two games — and two losses — things seem like they’re not going the way the Eagles expected. Attacking the trade is a bit unfair though. Wide receiver is a hard position to integrate quickly as the players aren’t only learning a new playbook, they’re also learning a new quarterback which can be difficult as well.

As for Tate, we saw a big increase from his game against Dallas to last week. Against the Cowboys, he has just two receptions for 19 yards. Against New Orleans, he had 48 yards off five receptions.

In Week 12, look for Tate to find his rhythm with his new team. The Eagles won’t be trying to force him the ball like they did a couple times in his first two outings, but instead, they can sit back and let things happen naturally. The result will be Tate making a couple big plays, including a touchdown where he shows off his patented run after the catch ability that’s made him a star in the NFL.
