4. Amari Cooper

A few weeks ago, the Cowboys made the ultimate move to better their offense. They traded a first-round pick to the Raiders in exchange for Amari Cooper. At first, fans and non-fans alike were quick to dismiss them for being unwise, giving up a first-rounder. Eventually, Cooper found his place in the offense, especially against Washington last week.

Cooper finished the game with eight receptions for 180 yards and two touchdowns. Finally, it was the moment Cowboys fans had been waiting for. Going up against the Saints is going to be a lot different than Washington, though. The real question is going to be if Cooper can keep the streak going or if he’ll be swallowed up by the Saints defense.

That being said, Cooper is a must-watch player this week. Last week, he escaped defenses, got open and made dynamic plays the offense has been lacking in. It will be interesting to see how he plays against Marshon Lattimore in particular. No doubt the Saints will have heavy coverage on him after last week.

Similar to Vander Esch, Cooper has to prove himself. If he keeps playing at a high level, the price the Cowboys paid will be worth it. Considering how dominant the Saints have been, it’s not going to be an easy night for Cooper. Regardless, Cooper is one player worth watching against the Saints.
