32. San Francisco 49ers (29)

The joy we all felt watching Nick Mullens break out against the Oakland Raiders a few weeks ago has died down. The San Francisco 49ers starting quarterback once again struggled to get points on the board and his team lost in a lopsided contest to the Seahawks. The 43-16 defeat was ugly, but that’s kind of become the norm for the 49ers this season.

Mullens did put up 414 yards on the day, but it took him 48 passing attempts to generate that yardage. The Niners also failed to help him as their ground game managed only 66 yards on 23 attempts. Of course, that could be due to how quickly the game got away from them.

What really comes into question now is the security of head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch. Each garnered a lot of praise for last season when they went 6-10, which included a five-game winning streak with Jimmy Garoppolo under center. Without him, the head coach has put up some rough games.

As for Lynch, some of his draft picks aren’t looking as good this year, especially with the recent release of linebacker Reuben Foster. The final four games will be huge for both these guys. While no jobs are likely to be lost with Garoppolo out injured, a poor finish could lead to a couple hot seats to start 2019.
